The Album Leaf is an American solo musical project founded in San Diego, California in 1998 by Jimmy LaValle. His performances often feature projected visual art. The Album Leaf officially began in 1998 as the solo project of Jimmy LaValle, guitarist for San Diego, California-based post-rock instrumental band Tristeza.

A Chorus of Storytellers is the fifth studio album by The Album Leaf, released in 2010 by the label Sub Pop. The album was recorded by Ryan Hadlock in the frosty month of February 2009 at Bear Creek Studio just outside Seattle. It was mixed in the decidedly warmer month of June in Reykjavík, Iceland by Birgir Jon Birgisson.
