PLAYERS released this one album back in 1987 and it's Jazz/ Fusion all the way. A few of the tracks were recorded live as we can hear the audience. This short lived American band featured Jeff Berlin on bass, Scott Henderson on guitar, Steve Smith on drums and T. Lavitz on keyboards. Freight Train Shuffle" is live with lots of keys and steady drum work. This is the closest they get to funky. Between Coming And Going" is again led by the keys and drums and I like when it settles some before 2 minutes as piano and bass come to the fore.

The Fairyland Story is a platform arcade game developed and published by Taito in 1985. In the game, the player controls the witch Ptolemy, with the objective being to clear the screen of all enemies. Ptolemy can use her wand to turn the enemies into large cakes, which she can then push off of platforms onto other enemies, which will squash them and award bonus points.

Sleepy Town Train makes much use of a repeating riff phrase as its central motif, and is coloured with solos from Trumpet 2, Alto and Tenor 1. We have written all of the original solos out in full, 'as-played'. This chart is full of dynamic contrast, with much waving of hats (or plungers) in the brass, so could be a visual showcase for your band too. The brass ranges are moderate and there are no sax doubles.
