Ecstasy is the second mini album by the alternative rock band My Bloody Valentine, released on 23 November 1987 on Lazy Records.

Ecstasy and Wine is a record which compiles the single for Strawberry Wine and the Ecstasy EP. It’s technically a bootleg, since the band had already signed to Creation Records in 1988, but released these EPs under Lazy Records in 1987. Lazy put this record out without the band’s consent (complete with a different mix of Strawberry Wine being pressed by mistake) in 1989. Kevin Shields, furious about this, seized 10,000 copies from Lazy’s manager shortly after its release. The reissue, Ecstasy and Wine, was another commercial success, though critics were much less receptive to it then – especially since it closely followed the release of their first album for Creation, Isn’t Anything. My Bloody Valentine are an awkward band to talk about. It seems unfair that many people view everything the band did before 1991’s Loveless just as little stepping stones, even prequels.
