Good Nature is the third studio album by American rock band Turnover, released on August 25, 2017, on Run for Cover Records. Good Nature was recorded with producer Will Yip, who had worked with the band on their previous album, Peripheral Vision. It is the last album by the band to feature lead guitarist Eric Soucy, who has since been released from the band due to allegations of emotional abuse
Turnover is an American rock band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Formed in 2009, the band is signed with the Run for Cover Records label. Turnover has released three albums, two EPs and a handful of singles. Turnover began in 2009. In 2012, they signed to Run for Cover Records. Since then, they have released two extended plays, two splits, and three full-length albums. In December 2011 and January 2012, the band went on a winter tour with True Things.
But the second album from Virginia Beach's Turnover is worth approaching with an open mind. After starting off in 2009 as Saves the Day devotees, the quartet has morphed into a moody, atmospheric indie rock band, without losing its knack for hook. r stomach-turning lyrics in the Chris Conley tradition. Turnover just wrapped a tour with New Found Glory and people won't stop comparing them to Title Fight, but bassist Danny Dempsey wants a clean slate
Peripheral Vision, Turnover’s sophomore album, shows a switch in direction from 2013’s debut Magnolia. Replacing the original pop punk sound, this record is mostly described as dream pop. The addition of new guitarist Eric Soucy – who is not in the band anymore – was stated as a major influence on this change. Peripheral Vision Q&A. What have the artists said about the album? Bassist Danny Dempsey expressed his feelings about the change in sound in an interview with The New Fury. I feel like it’s more our sound.
The last album from Virginia-born band Turnover found a sweet spot between pop-punk and dream pop, but their influences are more sedate and smooth this time. But on Turnover’s new album, Good Nature, getting on frontman Austin Getz’s level requires more than an updated vinyl collection. He turned vegan, moved with his girlfriend from Virginia Beach to California wine country, and made a record that sounds like he’d been there all along. I found my religion/When nothing was ahead of us/That week in California, Getz sighs on the starlit carousel ride Super Natural.
