Every Day ‎(CD, Album). Ninja Tune, Ninja Tune. What an album ! i love this it really gets the emotions going. Beautiful music by the Cinematic Orchestra as always but for this album they had the wonderful vocal talents of Fontella Bass. It really does bring tears to the eyes listening to this and that is exactly what Fontella bass was doing singing "all that you give". crying, as this song had special meaning to her as her husband had past away.

Album · 2002 · 9 Songs. Every Day The Cinematic Orchestra. More By The Cinematic Orchestra. See All. The Cinematic Orchestra - EP. 1999. Channel 1 Suite, Ode to the Big Sea - EP.

With Every Day, Cinematic Orchestra move beyond the electro-jazz fusion of their debut to make a record more natural, more paced, and, surprisingly, better than the justly hyped Motion. J Swinscoe is more the arranger/conductor here than the producer, but of course, there's little need for samples or effects with such an accomplished band sharing the burden. For the opener "All That You Give," Swinscoe and C. plus harp player Rhodri Davies, spend a few minutes delicately paving the way for a deeply felt vocal by soul hero Fontella Bass.

The Cinematic Orchestra is a British nu jazz and electronic music group, created in 1999 by Jason Swinscoe. The group is signed to independent record label Ninja Tune. The Cinematic Orchestra have produced four studio albums, Motion (1999), Every Day (2002), Ma Fleur (2007) and To Believe (2019), and two film soundtrack albums, Man with a Movie Camera (2003) and for The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos (2009). Except for a pair of detours into highly programmed "broken beat" production, Every Day is a textured, acoustic work; Cinematic Orchestra take their time setting up these songs - of the seven tracks, four last over nine minutes. The sounds and styles heard may not be revolutionary, but instead of simply pushing stylistic boundaries, Cinematic Orchestra display a real gift in making emotional, artistic music. 1 All That You Give The Cinematic Orchestra 6:5. 2 Burn Out The Cinematic Orchestra 10:12.

The Cinematic Orchestra does only one thing and does it well, creating lush and chill easy listening music with the help of beautiful yet simple melodies and perfect feel from the rhythm section. Phil France, an experienced jazz musician, creates incredible basslines and considered by Swinscoe his right hand man in composing the music to this album. Luke Flowers' drumming often sits in the background, but something about his feel lets the song sit back and take its time at slowly creeping into the listener's brain and relieving any stress buzzing around their mind. Everything fades out for a tranquil finish to the album of Every Day. While the songs get slightly repetitive and most of the instrumentals aren't great, The Cinematic Orchestra makes a good album for relaxing.
