Yes, the influence of Neil Peart on the drumming here is obvious, but I'd rather focus on the genuineness of the songs. Acquaintance," "Enchanted, and "Open Eyes" are a trio of tracks that will stick with you not just because of the technicality (and a production that, for this era and for a debut, is excellent), but because of the warmth and passion with which they are written. That aside, as musicians these guys are as good as those who made stadium stardom.
