Mark Kozelek Sings Christmas Carols is a Christmas album by American singer-songwriter Mark Kozelek. It was released on November 4, 2014, through Kozelek's own record label, Caldo Verde Records. All songs were recorded by Mark Kozelek in November–December 2013 in San Francisco. The album was announced in December 2013.

Mark Kozelek puts together some beautiful moments on this album but ultimately, as an album it's a total slog. Some of the fingerpicking sounds lovely with Mark's haunting vocals but he doesn't really bring anything new to these songs.

Anyone familiar with Mark Kozelek-the leader of Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon-knows what his voice can bring to a song. His love for covering other people’s material (AC/DC, Modest Mouse, Simon & Garfunkel) often leads him into unorthodox territory, but this album of well-known Christmas carols (plus versions of The Pretenders’ 2000 Miles and Greg Lake’s I Believe in Father Christmas ) is exactly as it should be: honest, straightforward, and no-nonsense.

Sings Christmas Carols. Exclusive Prime pricing. Sings Christmas Carols. I love Mark Kozelek! This album is great! If you are a fan I can't imagine you not loving it as well. Long time in the coming. Not as depressing as Low's Christmas album and crystal clear, absolutely lovely. Hit's that somber sweet spot that only a few can (and Kozelek seems to nail it every time), somewhere between a cold rainy/snowy day under warm, preferably down, covers and sweet oblivion.
