Donovan's Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits album from Scottish singer-songwriter Donovan. It was released in the United States in January 1969 on Epic Records, catalogue BXN 26439 in stereo, and in the United Kingdom in March 1969 on Pye Records, catalogue NPL 18283 in mono and NSPL 18283 in stereo. Donovan's Greatest Hits peaked at on the Billboard 200, and has been certified platinum by the RIAA.

Epic's Greatest Hits may not be a perfect collection - for instance, it contains re-recordings of his earliest folk songs, "Catch the Wind" and "Colours," not the originals - but for many casual fans, that may not matter since the remaining nine songs offer an excellent summary of his hit singles. And, as these songs prove, Donovan and producer Mickie Most could craft irresistible folk-rock and psychedelic pop singles.

Troubadour, Sony's 1992 Donovan box set, boasts nearly three times the tracks this 15-song single-disc retrospective offers, but Greatest Hits delivers what it promises: "Colours" and "Catch the Wind" from his folkie phase and "Mellow Yellow," "Sunshine Superman," and "Wear Your Love Like Heaven" from the lad's er-had period. Also, the "Mellow Yellow" album is almost as good, with "Sand and Foam", "Writer In the Sun" and "Sunny South Kensington" being standouts.
