Their signature hits include "Candida", "Knock Three Times", "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree", "Say, Has Anybody Seen My Sweet Gypsy Rose", and "He Don't Love You (Like I Love You)". Tony Orlando was born Michael Anthony Orlando Cassavitis on April 3, 1944. Orlando recorded through the 1960s with only moderate chart success

Tony Orlando & Dawn - SKYBIRD 49 in 1975. Born Michael Anthony Orlando Cassavitis April 3, 1944 in Manhattan, New York of Greek/Puerto Rican parents. At age 16 he was discovered by producer Don Kirshner. In 1970 he formed DAWN, which featured singers Telma Hopkins (from Louisville) and Joyce Vincent (from Detroit). Had his own TV variety show: "Tony Orlando and Dawn" from 1974-76. Tony opened the Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Music Theater in Branson, Missouri
