Born Free is the twentieth studio album by American pop singer Andy Williams and was released on April 10, 1967, by Columbia Records and includes half a dozen songs associated with movies or musicals. Two of these tracks, however, originated in the scores of the films indicated on the album jacket but had lyrics added later: the melody for "Strangers in the Night" was written for A Man Could Get Killed, and "Somewhere My Love" began as "Lara's Theme" from Doctor Zhivago.
For the sixth year in a row, Andy Williams greeted the spring with a new album keyed to the Academy Award Best Song nominations, and his audience rewarded him yet again with a Top Ten placing and a gold record

Born Free broke the Top 5 in 1967, featuring Music to Watch Girls By -Andy's hit vocal version of a Diet Pepsi jingle! Love, Andy, a album from the same year, includes What Now, My Love; The Look of Love; When I Look in Your Eyes, and more of Andy's sweetest serenades. Disc: 1. 1. Born Free. 2. Somewhere, My Love (Lara's Theme From 'Dr. Zhivago'). Born Free" and "Love, Andy" were two of Andy Williams most popular albums during the 60s, and for good reason. William's delivery of the title song on "Born Free" is one of his most famous performances, and he had MANY excellent performances. It also has his huge hit "Music to Watch Girls By", along with marvelous covers of "Spanish Eyes", "Strangers in the Night", "I Want to be Free", "Alfie", and "Sunny". Love, Andy" has an understated but excellent selection of songs.
