Andy Williams is a compilation album by American pop singer Andy Williams that was released early in 1958 by Cadence Records. This first album to compile the singer's material features his first six songs to make the Billboard Hot 100 along with their corresponding B-sides.

Howard Andrew Williams (December 3, 1927 – September 25, 2012) was an American singer. He recorded 43 albums in his career, of which 15 have been gold-certified and three platinum-certified. He was also nominated for six Grammy Awards. He hosted The Andy Williams Show, a television variety show, from 1962 to 1971, and numerous TV specials. The Andy Williams Show won three Emmy awards.

The Andy Williams album, meanwhile, although not billed as such, almost amounts to his first greatest hits collection, comprising as it does his first six chart records, plus their respective B-sides. While it would be a stretch to call Andy a rock’n’roll singer, Archie Bleyer was a wise man, and steered the blue-eyed star in that direction

By the end of 1958, Andy Williams had amassed an enviable record of nine consecutive chart singles, three per year dating back to 1956. The singles showed the singer's versatility, touching on everything from easy listening pop to teen-oriented light rock & roll. You could take any of the tracks on this album and drop them onto an album Williams recorded in the 1960s or after, and it would fit right in, which you can't say about singles like "Butterfly" or "I Like Your Kind of Love," popular as they may have been at the time of their release. Williams' buoyancy and sincerity as a singer were never better displayed than they were here on his true debut album.

Andy Williams was young when he recorded this album. He was a stone’s throw away from having recorded Moon River, so he is especially in good voice here. I have two of his Christmas albums, and I think this is the better one of the two that I have. The orchestration and the background vocals are very good here, and for a re-mastered album the sound is extremely clear. Williams sings classic Christmas songs on this album, from Silent Night, Holy Night, and Away In A Manger, to Kay Thompson’s Jingle Bells, and The Christmas Song, all packaged in engaging arrangements.
