Wired is the third solo album by British guitarist Jeff Beck, released on Epic Records in 1976. An instrumental album, it peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified platinum by the RIAA. Of the album tracks, four are originals by Narada Michael Walden and one by Hammer
Released in 1976, Jeff Beck's Wired contains some of the best jazz-rock fusion of the period. Wired is generally more muscular, albeit less-unique than its predecessor, Blow by Blow. Joining keyboardist Max Middleton, drummer Richard Bailey, and producer George Martin from the Blow by Blow sessions are drummer Narada Michael Walden, bassist Wilbur Bascomb, and keyboardist Jan Hammer. Beck contributed no original material to Wired, instead relying on the considerable talents of his supporting cast.
Wired (LP, Album, RE). Epic, Epic. My favourite Jeff Beck album. The drummer is incredibly precise and groovy. Mr Beck solid and fast as ever. Contains a lot of classics later on the compilations. To my ears it swings more than Blow By Blow - it's deeper into funk and jazz. The cover of Mingus's "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" is stunning, a ballad that more than does justice to both Mingus and Lester Young. Jeff Beck has made a lot of incredible music over the years, from the Yardbirds on. Every one of his albums has something on it worth hearing
Wired Beck (鋼線(ワイアード)のベック Waiādo no Bekku) is a minor antagonist appearing in Battle Tendency. He is a Vampire created by Kars tasked with guarding the hotel Kars is hiding in and briefly battles Lisa Lisa. Wired Beck is a muscular and tall light-haired vampire who has sideburns and a flattop. He wears a stripped suit revealing the shoulders and the better part of the chest, held by two leather straps. He also has several metal rings at the wrists and a belt decorated by several beads.
