Metanoia is a compilation album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, first released on 10" double-vinyl in December, 1998, in a limited run of 1000 copies. It is mostly made up of improvisations recorded during the Signify sessions, some of which were later shaped into songs.

Look, But Don’t Touch. After his second album, years of industry fatigue set in and Justin became burnt out with music, and so he disappeared. He kept plenty busy elsewhere. For starters, he got married. But not before founding a successful clothing line, acting in a slew of movies (and nearly winning an Oscar), starting a record label and two restaurants, becoming the sexiest man aliv. wice, and then the most stylish man alive, executive producing an MTV series, revitalzing Myspace, ending world hunger, swimming the Atlantic, delivering Blue Ivy, and possibly/maybe inventing twerking.

Before you look at this album as a Porcupine Tree album, understand that it can be better described as an hour-long experiment. Essentially, it’s Steven Wilson‘s science project, just for music. He explores many different aspects of progressive and psychedelic rock without committing to one particular idea or theme. Since the album is a primarily a compilation of songs that he recorded during the two years prior to the LP’s release, the record is far from cohesive and only scratches the surface of the band’s later styles.

Look But Don't Touch is an episode of Series 5. The episode premiered on Playhouse Disney on February 23, 2008. Jeff appears and says "Hello, here we go, it's the Wiggles Show!". This is the album that got me into porcupine tree, followed closely by stupid dream. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the songs on this album, but to me this is (along with Lightbulb Sun) where they perfected their sound, without the overbearing metal influence of their later works or the unnecessary psychadelic tangents of earlier albums. The last few songs flow together in a near flawless masterpiece  . It has the flow of a classic concept album using Porcupine Tree's driving heaviness to put it all together. It sounds great as a whole and yet most of the songs still sound great on their own. The Music on this album is breathtaking.
