Album · 1976 · 10 Songs. A Fifth of Beethoven Walter Murphy. Listen on Apple Music.
Originally known as Walter Murphy & the Big Apple Band, the band changed their name to the Walter Murphy band shortly after the single 'A Fifth of Beethoven started taking off. The album is filled with delicious Disco/Soul that doesn't necessarily follow the formula of the hit, but doesn't stray too far from it, either. Includes liner notes from Discussions Magazine's Stephen SPAZ Schnee. This release is a must have for all Disco, Soul and Funk fans out there!
