Okay, there, I said it. Now it’s out of the way and I can focus on the actual album, which, I must admit, is a very enjoyable one. It’s a little bit pop, occasionally rocking, sometimes twangy and a little bit tender.

Jennifer O'Connor (born November 8, 1973) is an American singer-songwriter. She has released a series of well-regarded solo albums, and has either toured or played with Wilco, the Indigo Girls, Feist, Yo La Tengo, Dump, and the Mountain Goats, among other bands and musicians. Paste magazine has called her a "songwriter's songwriter", describing her albums as "master classes in economy and clarity.

This week marked the release of Jennifer O’Connor’s latest album I Want What You Want. The album explores themes of finding one’s own path, and figuring out how to move forward, all of which were present in the Brooklyn songwriter’s creation of the release.
