City Sleeps was an American rock band, formed in 2005. Originally called Smugface and playing an aggressive, somewhat progressive style of alternative rock in line with the nu metal of the late 1990s and early 2000s, it wasn't until around 2004 that this Atlanta-bred quintet changed its sound and image, and subsequently its name to City Sleeps.

While the City Sleeps. is a 1986 studio album by George Benson, released on Warner Bros. It features musicians like Paulinho da Costa, Preston Glass, Paul Jackson, J. Marcus Miller and Narada Michael Walden (as drummer and producer), alongside young talents of the time like Kenny G, Randy Jackson and Kashif. Although it does not have any instrumental tracks, Benson's guitar playing is somewhat in the headlight in songs like "Love Is Here Tonight", "Teaser" and "Too Many Times".

But this wasn't all that common in the early to mid-'90s, around the same time that the 69 Eyes issued their sophomore full-length, 1994's Motor City Resurrection. The riffs are loud and the lyrics sure are stupid, but the glam-biker band wouldn't have it any other way. Tracks such as "Mrs. Sleazy" (which is prefaced by a DJ slobbering all over himself how great the 69 Eyes are) and "Hot Butterfly" sound like they were written solely to provide strippers with a new soundtrack to strut their stuff to.
