David Bowie is the self-titled debut studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 1 June 1967, on Deram Records. Its style and content bears little overt resemblance to the type of music that he was later known for, such as the folk rock influenced "Space Oddity" or the glam rock of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

David Bowie, the visionary British rock star who coupled hits such as "Space Oddity" with trend-setting pop personas like "Ziggy Stardust," has died at age 69, apparently of liver cancer, just two days after releasing what appears to be the parting gift of a new album. A spokesman for Bowie said he died on Sunday but declined to say where he died or from what type of cancer. Bowie had kept a low profile after having emergency heart surgery in 2004 and it was not publicly known that he had cancer.
Contact David Bowie on Messenger. Boat trips with Gary Oldman! Riots on Sunset Boulevard! These are just some of the ingredients in the story of how DAVID BOWIE pulled himself out of his ’80s malaise with TIN MACHINE – a band of fucking heathens who paved the way for his creative rebirth in the following decade. Here Reeves Gabrels, Hunt Sales and Tony F. Sales, Kevin Armstrong and producer Tim Palmer reveal all to Rob Hughes about Bowie’s creative motivations. David said, ‘Let’s put an end to rock’n’roll. I really want to fuck with it!’. - I look back on t. .
When the pain hit, David Bowie was singing a song called Reality. It was just another concert on a tour that had stretched on a little too long, bringing him to a stiflingly hot arena stage in Prague, on a late-June evening in 2004. Reality, the title track to his album of the previous year, was about facing mortality and putting illusions aside, and at age 57, he had been busy doing just that. He wanted to have more fun and not have the pressure of releasing another David Bowie album for a while. He said, ‘When I get off tour, we’ll do that. The two men were renting a studio in Philip Glass’ New York complex, and Visconti kept it going for a couple of years after Bowie’s heart attack. He told me privately, and I really got choked up when we sat face to face talking about it. Bowie informed the band members that he was ill and asked them to keep it a secret. It was never discussed again.
Low is the 11th studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on RCA Records on 14 January 1977. Recorded following Bowie's move to West Berlin after a period of drug addiction and personal instability, Low became the first of three collaborations with musician Brian Eno and producer Tony Visconti, later termed the "Berlin Trilogy"
