Rocket to Russia is the third studio album by the American punk rock band the Ramones, and was released on November 4, 1977, through Sire Records. Its origins date back to the summer of 1977, when "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker" was released as a single. That summer was known as the peak of the punk rock genre since many punk bands were offered recording contracts

Rocket To Russia is the third studio album by the American punk rock band The Ramones. It was released on November 4, 1977 through Sire Records. It was their last with original drummer Tommy Ramone. The album incorporates surf rock and other influences. It includes some of the Ramones' best-known songs, including Sheena Is a Punk Rocker and Teenage Lobotomy. Rocket to Russia is a Ramones cover album by pop punk band the Queers Queers vocalist and guitarist Joe King has repeatedly stated that the Ramones are one of the biggest influences on the band. He wanted the Queers to sound "in between the Ramones and the Beach Boys. However, he was not thrilled about recording a Ramones album, stating. This album has been praised for faithfully reproducing the sound of the original Rocket to Russia. It was called "an impressive feat of mimicry" and "a nice tribute to the obvious heroes.

All songs by Ramones except Do You Wanna Dance? by Freeman Surfin' Bird by /Wilson. Chords are mostly 5's but indicating this all the time would be a mess. They're mostly 'major-like' anyway except for F in Here Today, Gone Tomorrow, which may even be F NC means no chord. Lyrics are from uwp and were sent by Eric Wincentsen.
