Wendy Carlos (born Walter Carlos; November 14, 1939) is an American musician and composer best known for her electronic music and film scores. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Carlos studied physics and music at Brown University before moving to New York City in 1962 to study music composition at Columbia University. A rare vintage demo record for the Moog 900 series synths, released by Moog when they were in Trumansburg, NY. Music by Wendy Carlos of Switched On Bach fame, narration by Ed Stokes. There are apparently two versions of this demo record in existence. This is a very cool find. This is uploaded for educational purposes only, and also to show the historical significance of early electronic music.
