I definitely had a period where i bought this kind of music religiously and perhaps it was a bit surplus to requirements. An Album of Braindance! CD (Rephlex 2003 - UK). Before the IDM term turn took over this type of music is what defined it. These CDs introduced me to other artists that I really got into like Bochum Welt.

Sounds like a "shoot from the hip" jam session more than pre-thought out tracks. I like it still because these guys are disciples of aphex beat tweakery. Any output from them is a treat.
