Label: Universal ‎– UMD 85020. Undoubtly the most famous album in the "bubble gum" genre, and this album is usually either loved or hated, at least the beginning. Actually I like it, mainly because of the Johnny Jam & Delgado sound, who produced several other tracks for other projects (they even produced some Ace Of Base tracks on the "Flowers" album), and they are among my favourite dance music producers.

Last to date Aquarium studio album is what you can expect from this band at the end of first decade of XXI century. For a years the band became more personal project of his founder, vocalist and leader Boris Grebenschikov. Very recognisable voice, acoustic sound beauty, down tempo songs with exotic rhythms and rare instruments.

Barbie Girl" is one of those inexplicable pop culture phenomena - a bouncy, slightly warped Euro-dance song that simultaneously sends up femininity and Barbie dolls. Mattel wasn't too amused, but the public was, making it a huge hit in Europe and America. Like many Europop acts, Aqua isn't capable of delivering another song as insanely catchy as "Barbie Girl," but there's plenty of infectious filler that keeps the album moving along at a nice pace.
