Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson - The Outlaw Movement in Country Music Full Episode! .

Heaven And Hell by Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson Lyrics. 8. Me And Paul by Willie Nelson Lyrics. 9. Yesterday's Wine by Willie Nelson Lyrics. 10. T for Texas by Tompall Glaser Lyrics. In 1976,Jerry Bradley, General Manager of RCA in Nashville, saw the great successes of Nelson’s Red Headed Stranger and Jennings' Dreaming My Dream and decided there must be something to this idea of Outlaw Country, so he put together tracks from Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter and Tompall Glaser as a compila-tion album, and wisely titled it Wanted: The. Outlaws. The name Outlaw came from Hazel Smith, a secretary at Hillbilly Central, Glaser’s recording studio. She’d been referring to the artists who recorded there as outlaws.

Wanted! The Outlaws is a compilation album by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter, and Tompall Glaser, released by RCA Records in 1976. The album consists entirely of previously released material.

Label: RCA Victor ‎– AFL1-1321. Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Compilation, Reissue.

Other albums by Waylon Jennings/Willie Nelson/Jessi Coulter/Tompall Glaser. The Definitive Waylon Jennings Collection. The songs in this packaged product weren't new - the album contained previously released material by Jennings, Willie Nelson, Tompall Glaser, and Jennings' wife Jessi Colter (who had hit the charts a year earlier with "I'm Not Lisa"). But it marked the industry's recognition of the changing times, and as the center point of a campaign to publicize Nashville's new "progressive" breed, it worked like a charm. In 1996, RCA reissued Wanted! The Outlaws on CD for the first time, adding one new Waylon & Willie recording (a lively reading of Steve Earle's "Nowhere Road") and nine "lost" tracks. But "lost" isn't really correct: like the original 11 selections, such songs as Waylon's "Slow Movin' Outlaws" and Willie's "Healing Hands of Time" have been previously released.

Album · 1976 · 9 Songs. With Waylon’s wife Jessi Colter and friend Tompall Glaser filling out the posse, the first-ever platinum country album pulled together some of the best tunes from this dream team’s past as part of a fresh concept. The Waylon/Willie duet A Good Hearted Woman became outlaw country’s unofficial anthem and earned Nashville’s Most Wanted plenty of ears outside the country crowd. Wanted!
