A concept album is an album in which its tracks hold a larger purpose or meaning collectively than they do individually. This is typically achieved through a single central narrative or theme, which can be instrumental, compositional, or lyrical. Sometimes the term is applied to albums considered to be of "uniform excellence" rather than an LP with an explicit musical or lyrical motif. There is no consensus among music critics as to the specific criteria for what a "concept album" is.

His second album Contacto (Contact- 2003) defined his style. Contacto mixed percussion and drums with bass and rock beats. The first single, "La Caderona" ("The Big-hipped woman"), had success similar to "Mi Bombón". Cabas' first music video, for the song "Leche" ("Milk"), premiered on MTV Latin America. Cabas is currently working on his first new album in over 8 years. He has also been writing for other artists and for commercials and television programs around the world. He splits his time between Bogota, Mexico City and Miami when he is not in the studio in Medellin.
