It certainly never created the commotion their debut release did. Which cannot ALL be ascribed to the fact that Liverpool contains no Relax monster to create a hype. That is a shame cause in its' own right Liverpool is a strong album. And I like both Watching The Wildlife and For Heaven's Sake - actually, I think the latter is one of the strongest tracks here. Kill The Pain takes that prize, though.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood were a British band formed in Liverpool, England in the 1980s. The group was fronted by Holly Johnson (vocals), with Paul Rutherford (vocals), Peter Gill (drums, percussion), Mark O'Toole (bass guitar), and Brian Nash (guitar).

Liverpool" is Frankie Goes To Hollywood's second album, released in October 1986. It would be the band's final album of all-new material, and lead singer Holly Johnson would leave the band following the corresponding world tour, followed by a flurry of lawsuits from ZTT Records. The album was a commercial disappointment compared to the band's previous effort, charting generally low at It did, however, hit on the Austrian and Swiss music charts and in Norway. The cover photo was different depending on what format was purchased (LP, Cassette, or Compact Disc).

The album's production was handled by Trevor Horn's engineer Stephen Lipson, who urged the band to play their own instruments on this album (Horn having replaced the band's performances and arrangements with his session musicians or his own performances on Welcome To The Pleasuredome . iverpool is generally regarded as having a heavier Rock sound than Welcome. The album charted at in the United Kingdom, on the Austrian and Swiss music charts and in Norway. 180 gram audiophile vinyl.

Watch out! I have FGTH album "Liverpool" in a VERY different reissue version: 17 tracks and there are versions, bits and pieces and unreleased tracks, flip-side tracks inserted to between the original album tracks. It looks like this:1-"We have begun. It is of course Frankie", Don't loose what's left guitar riffs, then:2- Warriors intro voiceless3- Warriors some dance version 8'364- Rage hard version 6'17. I think a shortened Freddie Bastone remix.5- Sufragette city6- Kill the pain7- Delirious I think it's the only properly mixed version unlike on the other Liverpool deluxe version where it is just a rough mix.8- Maximum joy9- The wave10- A SYNTHESIZER track I don't remember the name of. But this one is the ONLY release where I've found this track.11- Watching the wildlife. Letzten Tage der Menscheit edit, I think.12- Don't loose what's left. 6'11 maybe a version. I hate this track and never listened fully.13- For heaven's sake14- Stan, Broadhouse blues, 15- Lunar bay16- Is anybody out there?17- Warriors. Maybe an Attack mix.18- Pamela By the way, there are many FGTH compilations, remixes and re-issues. Most of them includes something exclusive to that compilation, why is it worth collecting. There are countless of never previously released materials come to the light of the day. You have to watch carefully because many of the ZTT catalog-numberings and namings are missleading. By the way, the soundquality of the record is terrible, the remasters are even worse.

Is that the unofficial compilation "The Wasteland (Liverpool Re-Imagined)"? Tracklisting seems to mirror it...Corrections: Track 10 is the first 5:30 of "Watching The Wildlife (Der Letzten Tage Der Menscheit)" (the "..use a condom" part), tracks 2 and 3 are the first 12" mix of Warriors (don't know why you put them seprately, it's a standalone track), track 7 IS the rough mix from Liverpool Deluxe (seems like you're hearing it differently) and track 17 may be the last 1:25 of "Return" (the instrumental version from the 12" b-side, seems like you're using the "Attack Full Mix" term for it)...
