Winelight is a 1980 studio album by jazz musician Grover Washington Jr. The record received the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Fusion Performance in 1982. The album was released by Elektra Records. It includes the Grammy Award-winning hit "Just the Two of Us" sung by Bill Withers. The track "In the Name of Love" from the album was also released in rearranged form, without Washington's saxophone track, under the name of Ralph MacDonald and Bill Withers (on vocals).

Grover Washington, J. has long been one of the leaders in what could be called rhythm & jazz, essentially R&B-influenced jazz. Winelight is one of his finest albums, and not primarily because of the Bill Withers hit "Just the Two of U. It is the five instrumentals that find Washington (on soprano, alto, and tenor) really stretching out. If he had been only interested in sales, Washington's solos could have been half as long and he would have stuck closely to the melody. Instead he really pushes himself on some of these selections, particularly the title cut.

I hadn't heard the whole album for many years, and it sure still sounds good. We lost Grover W. too soon, tho I'm sure glad my wife and I got to see him live a couple of times at the Jacksonville Jazz Festival. He sure set the standard for the smooth jazz genre, and was just a monster onstage; I still remember the second time we saw him, surely one of the best concerts I've ever seen. But back to this album: the band was tight, the soloes terrific, and the arrangements understated and tasteful
