Train in Vain" is a song by the British punk rock band The Clash. It was released as the third and final single from their third studio album, London Calling (1979). The song was not originally listed on the album's track listing, appearing as a hidden track at the end of the album. This was because the track was added to the record at the last minute, when the sleeve was already in production.

Daddy was a bankrobber. He just loved to live that way. He loved to steal your money. The old man spoke up in a bar. Said I've never been to prison. A lifetime serving one machine. Ten times worse than prison. Imagine if all the boys in jail. Get out now together.
This was given to me by a guy called Barney Rubble who followed The Clash everywhere and had loads of memorabilia he collected over the years. He gave this to me as payment for a lift back from an Alarm gig in Leicester in '84. Rubble had the record signed at Bournemouth Arts Centre in '82 before the gig at the soundcheck. The signatures are still reasonably clear and are signed in biro. A signed letter of authenticity will be included. Sleeve - VG+ Disc - VG+ Thanks for looking.
