Lyrics to "Ruby Blue" song by Roisin Murphy: You'd better stop And try to think Look what you're doing Oh, Ruby You never get to Give it a. .You never get to Give it all you got Cause you forgot To take it to the top Come On Ruby Blue. Why do you make a start With no means to go on? It's on the tip of you. uby, we used to love you truly You used to make us laugh It really was a ga. ut now you're a bore. It was you And them And me Look what you do Oh, Ruby Blue. You'd better stop And try to think Look what you're doing Oh, Ruby.
Produced by Matthew Herbert & Róisín Murphy. You'd better stop And try to think Look what you're doing Oh, Ruby You never get to give it all you've got 'Cause you forgot to take it to the top Oh, Ruby Blue Alright. Why do you make a start With no means to go on? It's on the tip of your. Ruby, we used to love you truly You used to make us laugh It really was a gas But now you're a bore. One Two Three But now you're a bore.
Herbert's concept was to build the album around Murphy - not just her gorgeous voice, but her life as well, and Ruby Blue reflects this with his skillful, witty use of environmental sounds throughout the album.
Irish singer and songwriter Róisín Murphy has released four studio albums, one live album, five extended plays, 31 singles (including 10 as a featured artist) and 16 music videos. Murphy debuted in 1995 as lead singer of the electronic music duo Moloko. The duo achieved success in the United Kingdom, producing four top 20 singles. Moloko broke up in 2003 after Murphy had ended her relationship with musical partner Mark Brydon.
Ruby Blue is the debut solo album of Irish singer Róisín Murphy, released by Echo Records on 13 June 2005 (see 2005 in music). After she and Mark Brydon dissolved their electronic duo Moloko, Murphy began working with producer and musician Matthew Herbert, known for his experimental work in jazz and electronic music. The songs were first released through three extended plays and were then compiled into a studio album. The album often samples sounds made by everyday objects and actions, including cosmetics, brass mice, dancing and ornaments. It mixes the electronic music for which Moloko.
It's a nice closer and a good reminder of what makes this record so good. When the songwriting is on, Ruby Blue seems perfect, the ultimate combination of human warmth and technological know-how.
