Punk Goes Pop Volume 4 is the twelfth compilation album in the Punk Goes. It was released on November 21, 2011 through Fearless Records. On September 22, 2011, MTV Buzzworthy announced the album's full track list. The album also included a second bonus sampler CD containing songs by bands from Fearless' record label.

Punk Goes Pop didn't hit the spot for me over the course of the last few releases, but come volume 4 maybe things got better? While enjoying the Punk Goes Metal, '80s and '90s titles, it's hard to stomach a lot of the uber pop that's glorified on the radio these days, but maybe the Punk Goesâ?¦ series could take some sheen and wasted glamor off these radio-friendly tunes and break it down just right for us. Then again, hearing bands we like covering these songs could well help butcher what we think of them. Take it in with a pinch of salt

Punk rock started in 1976 on New York’s Bowery, when four cretins from Queens came up with a mutant strain of blitzkrieg bubblegum. The revolution they inspired split the history of rock & roll in half. But even if punk rock began as a kind of negation - a call to stark, brutal simplicity - its musical variety and transforming emotional power was immediate and remains staggering. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Ramones’ toweringly influential self-titled debut, we’ve compiled a list of the 40 Greatest Punk Albums of All Time. Their third album is a snapshot of London life, from "'A' Bomb in Wardour Street" to "Down in the Tube Station at Midnight," a salvo against rightwing punkers.

Punk rock has a tendency to lie about its age. There’s endless debate over what the first punk recording is: The Ramones’ self-titled debut? The Damned’s debut single, New Rose ? . With so much history, influence and evolution, not to mention this notable anniversary, it felt like the right time to put together our own official (and very personal) list of the Top 100 Punk Albums. Their second album is their most potent statement, a punchy garage-punk half-hour that nods to old-schoolers like The Wipers while injecting their own sense of ironic humor into snarling screeds like I Hate the Kids. If punk is a teenager’s game, nobody bothered to tell these bruisers. 99. Dag Nasty – Can I Say (1986; Dischord).

Super deep pads, hooky bass lines and dreamy melodies layered over crisp rolling beats. CE and Abstract Forms label heads Sync 24 & Deixis turn in their 3rd track for the series.
