The musical interplay between pianist Bill Mays and bassist Ray Drummond is reminiscent of Evans and his various bassists. Mays and Drummond operate as equals (in fact the bassist seems to control the music as least as much as Mays) and their solo space is split fairly evenly. That is not to say that Bill Mays is merely imitating Evans on this CD, just that his highly impressive session is very much in that tradition; an adventurous rendition of "Skylark" is the highpoint.

Bill Mays and Ray Drummond have recorded two jazz albums together featuring a duet of the double bass and the piano called One to One (1989) and One to One 2 (1990). William Allen Mays (born February 5, 1944) is a jazz pianist from Sacramento California who is normally referred to as "Bill Mays.
K Foundation Burn a Million Quid was an action on 23 August 1994 in which the K Foundation (an art duo consisting of Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty) burned cash in the amount of one million pounds sterling in a disused boathouse on the Ardfin Estate on the Scottish island of Jura. The money represented the bulk of the K Foundation's funds, earned by Drummond and Cauty as The KLF, one of the United Kingdom's most successful pop groups of the early 1990s.
