But when you have music based on a popular Off-Broadway show (which is itself based on an extremely popular comic strip) from a group calling itself the Kid Stuff Repertory Company, I think it’s natural to expect the songs to be more or less faithful to the source material. I never remembered Snoopy’s meals being quite this exotic! Suppertime. In the musical, the song Snoopy is normally performed as a sort of wistful ballad until the jungle animal fantasy where it speeds up, only to slow down again at the end. They sort of do the opposite here. Not bad as such, just not what you’d expect if you’d heard this song before.

Album: Back Home Again (1974). Charted: 1 1. Get the Sheet Music License This Song. Denver wrote this for his then-wife Ann Martell after their first separation and near break up of their marriage in 1974. He said that it was one of the fastest songs he ever wrote, composing it in about 10 minutes while he was riding on a ski lift in Aspen, Colorado. Denver was reflecting on all the joy he found in his marriage and his relief that they were back together. Wrote Denver: "Suddenly, I'm hypersensitive to how beautiful everything is.
What was John Denver's biggest hit song? He is known for a few hit songs including "Rocky Mountain High" and "Country Roads," but these two were never hits.
Finding this CD and getting it really transported me back to a simpler time in my life. The music is of a very high quality. Most of his best songs are on here
