Apocrypha is something different altogether. Their first album was an amazing speed metal offering and their best in my opinion. The guitar on that album is blistering. The follow up was a tamer experimental offering with a few highlights but slightly disappointing. Then comes Area 54, their heaviest album, a real progressive gem way ahead of its time. The guitar work is a little simpler than that on their debut but still outstanding. The lyrics on this album are social criticism of high calibre. It's a real shame that this band never got noticed but most people are like sheep.
