Phorward is a studio album by the Scottish band The Shamen. It was released in 1989 on Moksha Records. It was billed as a "mini album" because the original vinyl release had only six tracks. On the CD version, DJ Eddie Richards remixed tracks including "You Me and Everything", "Reraptyouare", "Splash 2", and "Phorward", further expanding the musical impact the mini-album made on the acid house scene. It was reissued with slightly different tracks in 1999 on the Essential label.

The Shamen were a Scottish electronic dance music band, formed in 1986 in Aberdeen. The founding members are Colin Angus (born 24 August 1961), Derek McKenzie (born 27 February 1964) and Keith McKenzie (born 30 August 1961). Peter Stephenson (born 1 March 1962) joined shortly after to take over on keyboards from Angus. Several other people were later in the band. Angus then teamed up with Will Sinnott, and together they found credibility as pioneers of rock/dance crossover. Released in June 1987, The Shamen's first album, Drop demonstrated their love of 1960s psychedelia, with influences such as Love, Syd Barrett and the 13th Floor Elevators. By mid-1987, frontman Colin Angus was discovering the sounds of early house-music pioneers, such as S-Express and M/A/R/R/S, and increasing his knowledge of the latest studio gadgetry. The front cover image is a monochrome, heavily rasterized excerpt of the cover image on In Gorbachev We Trust.

Picking up where In Gobachev... left off, this EP takes the acid loops one step further. The strange about this record for me was thgat i bought it the same day as Will drowned. The track SDD89 is a remix of Strange Days Dream which is a track about the Sirens (mythical women who lure sailors to the rocks with song) and drowning. I found this freaky. Other than that, this EP is the Shamen's final record without Mr.C and in my opinion, one of the best.
