Food is the sixth studio album by American singer Kelis. It was released on April 18, 2014, becoming her first album released under Ninja Tune Records. After parting ways with Jive Records in 2007, Kelis signed to Interscope and will. am Music Group in 2009, through the label she released her fifth studio album, Flesh Tone, which saw Kelis experiment with a dance sound.
Four of Kelis' five singles that hit Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart are included on The Hits, as well as three guest spots (one of which, Ol' Dirty Bastard's "Got Your Money," charted), leaving plenty of room for tracks that weren't exactly hits. Title semantics aside, the disc amounts to a satisfactory, but not optimal, selection of highlights from Kelis' three . released albums: 1999's Kaleidoscope, 2003's Tasty, and 2006's Kelis Was Here

The Hits is the first greatest hits album (fifth overall) by American R&B singer Kelis, released in the United States on March 11, 2008 by Jive Records, Zomba Label Group, and Legacy Recordings. Despite its minor success, the album does not include the single "Blindfold Me". The Hits disappointingly debuted at number seventy-one on the UK Album Chart the week of March 15, 2008
