Turn On Your Love Light. Written-By – D. Malone, Joe Scott. With His Special Guests Cowboy/Boyer & Talton And Accompanied By A 24 Piece Orchestra.

Laid Back is the debut studio solo album by American singer-songwriter Gregg Allman, released in October 1973 by Capricorn Records. Allman, best known as the anist of the Allman Brothers Band, first began considering a solo career after internal disagreements with that group. He developed the album as a small creative outlet wherein he would assume full control, and he co-produced the album alongside Johnny Sandlin.

Gregg Allman was at his creative peak in the early 70's, and the collective musicianship fill out a full sound that is not exactly Allman Brothers, but is excellent nonetheless. I saw this band perform at the Paramount Theater in Portland, Oregon on this tour, and bought the album immediately. I haven't had it for several years, so it's really nice to hear this music again. You'll probably find the slide guitar a little loose, but their versions of "Dreams" and "Stand Back" are very credible. Tunes from Gregg's "Laid Back" album round out. I was at the Gregg Allman show in Omaha, Nebr in 1974. It was a great concert. I was very glad to see this re-released on CD. This is NOT the Allman Brothers, and it was not meant to be. It shows another dimension to Gregg. I really liked the 24 piece orchestra, and contrary to many other people, I really liked the middle of the show act of Cowboy.

The Gregg Allman Tour is the first live album by Gregg Allman, released in 1974. It peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Pop Albums charts in 1974. It was originally released as a double LP. For this concert, Allman was backed by the band Cowboy, who played two of their own songs. Several of its members had already backed Gregg Allman on his debut album the previous year.

Strangely enough, the album contains only three of Laid Back's songs - "Don't Mess Up a Good Thing" opens the show in a properly spirited, earthy manner, but.
