Rough Trade was a Canadian new wave rock band in the 1970s and 1980s, centred on singer Carole Pope and t Kevan Staples. Their 1976 studio album "Rough Trade Live!" was the first album by a rock band recorded 'direct to disc', recorded from the studio directly onto the master disc.
