BB (formerly known as Mardi Gras Brass Band, whilst now "BB" stands for double bold) is a band from germany led by Ulli Krug and Doc Wenz since 1992. Inspired by New-Orleans Mardi Gras' music, Mardi gras. BB delivers lively blues, jazz and soul. A great part of their music comes from improvisational jams. Exile Itch", their latest album, hit the stores internationnaly in 2007.
Germany's Mardi Gras BB are a vibrant jazz, funk, soul, rock, and hip-hop ensemble with a distinctly swampy New Orleans feel, led by the charismatic Doc Wenz (aka Jochen Wenz) and former Grug Grug bass player Reverend Uli Jug, who plays sousaphone in the band.
