The Moment is the seventh studio album by saxophonist Kenny G. It was released by Arista Records in 1996, and reached on the Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, on the Billboard 200, on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and on the Canadian Albums Chart. The second single taken from this album, "Havana", was remixed and released to dance clubs in the United States, and these remixes went to on the Hot Dance Club Play chart in 1997, earning Kenny G his first on this chart.

Kenny G remains a sweet, melodic instrumentalist, who works entirely in lush, slick adult contemporary pop settings. That said, it is true that The Moment ranks second to only Breathless in terms of sheer consistency in Kenny G's catalog, thanks to the sustained vision of producer Babyface.

Exclusively for Prime members. The "Every Time I Close My Eyes" on this album doesn't feature Mariah Carey like the original single, however. That Somebody Was You" is a grateful song about finding a better love. The Moment" is a thought-provoking slow love tune that sounds quite sad. "Passages" is a bit faster and more happier. Havana" cheats you at the beginning for it being a slow melody, but then a minute and seconds later, it's a danceable number, but "Gettin' On The Step" is less danceable although cheerful

Kenny G is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with global sales totaling more than 75 million records. Kenny G was born in Seattle, Washington. His mother was from Saskatchewan, Canada. His family was Jewish, and he grew up in Seattle's Seward Park neighborhood, which is a center of the city's Jewish community.
