Window in the Skies" is a song by Irish rock band U2 and is one of two new songs featured on their 2006 compilation album U218 Singles. It was released on 1 January 2007 as the album's second single. It was recorded in September 2006 at Abbey Road Studios in London and produced by Rick Rubin. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

If we allowed the album to be one extreme or another it would be wrong. It’s finding that balance between what we do as a band naturally and then what we can still do in the studio. And the studio is still a songwriting tool for us and the production process is still a songwriting process as well as a production process. I guess that balance is why you brought in so many different producers for this album. I mean, they don’t necessarily all work on every song. To start wrapping up here, this year is the 20th anniversary of Pop. Are you aware of the cult that’s grown around it in the U2 fan community? Well, it’s something I’ve only recently became aware of. I love the record and I think there are some great things on it.

Their second collaboration with influential producer Brian Eno, the album contained some of U2’s most enduring hits, such as With Or Without You, I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For and Where The Streets Have No Name. It’s no surprise that the album went on to win Album of the Year at the 1988 Annual Grammy Awards. It remains to this day one of the highest-selling albums of all time, shipping over 25 million copies.
