Classical, Instrumental. Description This work was written in 1992 for Joseph Nolan, an organist described by the composer as the only person he then knew who could make an organ recital both enjoyable and exciting. Although only in two movements, it is intended to have the same seriousness of effect of the eighteenth-century sonata da chiesa, and therefore does not contain any of the satire often found in the composer’s music when he writes using formal constructions of the past. The sound sample is the 2nd movement, performed by Ronald Frost.

Description This piece was written in 1992 for Joseph Nolan, whose playing so impressed the composer that he wrote not only this piece, but also the Organ Sonata (B56) for him. It is intended to be played in a recital which opens with the Prelude. Like that piece, it ends in C major after a struggle through atonal episodes, but its ending is peaceful and valedictory.

Cold Lake is the third studio album by Swiss extreme metal band Celtic Frost, released on 1 September 1988 by Noise Records. It features a new lineup, reformed by bandleader Tom Warrior with newly joined musicians Oliver Amberg, Curt Victor Bryant and Stephen Priestly. Despite it being marketed to exploit the mass appeal of glam metal, the album has more of a traditional heavy metal sound.
