Vinskvetten was founded in 1975 at Salhus, not far away from Bergen. The first CD came in 1988 with the name "Platå", and the CD who had most sales (32402 sales) is "Ronnyen og Kveitebollen". Vinskvetten is a local band who performs at local places, and they rather want people to come to them, than going on tours.

Vinskvetten (previously known as Salhus Vinskvetten) is a Norwegian music and comedy troupe. They were active from 1975 to 2009. The group was formed in 1975 as part of a local comedy revue (Nornarevyen (Salhus Revy og Teater)), and has ever since been based in Salhus, north of Bergen in Norway. The group's name is a parody of another well known band from the same area, Salhuskvintetten
