The first Bassholes album proper since 1998's mammoth and ball-busting When My Blue Moon Turns Red Again (and discounting the live LP on SFTRI) finds Don & Bim in the expected fine form, and kicking out a superlative collection of new(er) material that chugs like a locomotive right out of the gates. This self-titled effort is probably the closest these two have come to sounding 'clean', but the better recording quality doesn't hinder the effort at all, and I think it actually makes Bim's time-keeping sound even more tight/powerful  . April March (born Elinor Blake on April 20, 1965) is an American singer-songwriter who sings in English and French. She is widely known for the song "Chick Habit", which was featured in the films But I'm a Cheerleader and Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof. She is also a cartoon animator, including a stint as a principal animator for the Ren and Stimpy show. She went to Parsons The New School for Design and California Institute Of The Arts for Character Animation.

Landing as it does on the hells of the obtuse, experimental subterranean howl of an album Longway Blues, it'd be hard to think that the Bassholes didn't use that album as an exercise in honing their core out-rock, rock-out sound. On its own, this is a double LP of their trademark wail.
