Myra is the debut album by Mexican-American pop singer Myra in the Pop Music Market, released by Buena Vista Records on June 8, 2001. Myra saw two single releases, "Miracles Happen (When You Believe)" and a cover of Martha and the Vandellas' "Dancing in the Street" which were both title tracks for two major motion picture soundtracks released by Disney within the same year.

The vision of an otherworldly singer and dancer manifested from someone's emotions. Myra was part of an idol group composed of seven members that was hugely successful. Unfortunately, however, one day she suddenly lost her voice. No one knows why or how it happened, but some speculate that she was the victim of a curse. Myra is a winner of the Fan Festa 2017 Unit Creation Contest.

Myra (Ancient Greek: Μύρα, Mýra) was an ancient Greek, then Roman Greek, then Byzantine Greek, then Ottoman Greek town in Lycia, which became the small Turkish town of Kale, renamed Demre in 2005, in the present-day Antalya Province of Turkey. In 1923 its Greek inhabitants had been required to leave by the Population exchange between Greece and Turkey, at which time its church was finally abandoned.

Mira or Myra? Hi Everyone, I was hoping you could help me settle a bit of a debate I'm having with my husband. If our second child is a girl we have settled on a name but can not seem to agree on the spelling. I prefer Mira, since it seems like the phoenetic way to spell it since we want the name to be pronounced "meer-a". I worry Myra would result in people calling her "MY-rah". Apparently Myra is sometimes used as an anglicized version of Mairead, the Gaelic form of Margaret. English meaning of the name Myra for a girl: poetic invention. So what do you think? I just find Mira to be more attractive and easier to pronounce.
