The Pebbles series played a significant role in the emergence of a "canon" of garage-rock music and artists in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Absolutly the worst sounding comp out there...the original pebbles series was sometimes barely listenable, but what the heck did they do with this one? It sounds like they used a fifth generation tape of an original pebbles lp as a master!

I Never expect audiophile Sound when the pebbles name is on it :-)But as far as the Trash Box goes, it is still the worst sounding comp for me, way below the original pebbles releases. Only Chocolate Soup for Diabetics sounds worse....

I dunno what you talking about the bad sound. My recently purchased Trash Box 5xCD (Hit Records (5) - BOXX1) sounds awesome. It's not big surprise they have not used The Original master tapes, is it? Did you expect Hifi or what :)?

If anyone has record 5 of this and wants to sell I would love to buy it. PM me with details. I picked this up from a record store that was closing and selling stock off cheap. Saw this and bought it but didn't realise record 5 was missing. Thanks.

Is this tracklisting correct.the tracks by the moving sidewalks, dovers and the satans off volume 2 lp do not appear here. Weird. Seems to be missing a few others as well.

Various - Pebbles Box _There is one track missing. Side I has seven tracks, no 4 being: Satori - Time Machine.

This box wasn't an exact reissue of the first few Pebbles comps... they missed off certain tracks and added new ones for their own reasons (which were never fully explained). They almost ruined the albums in a way. Although there is still a ton of good stuff here and it's a useful thing to possess I would always return to the original first few volumes of Pebbles in preference to this.Having said that - it was good to hear the Driving Stupid track 'Horror Asparagus Stories' that was listed on Pebbles 3 but never appeared on the album (they lost the single after mastering one side only).

This is a very good 60ies punk collection,i like most tracks 3-21 Teddy Boys – Mona and 4-14 The Spades – We Sell Soul! These are real burners!Stefan
