Rockferry is the debut studio album by Welsh singer Duffy, released on 3 March 2008 in the United Kingdom by A&M Records. It was released in the United States by Mercury Records. Duffy worked with several producers and writers on the album, including Bernard Butler, Steve Booker, Jimmy Hogarth and Eg White. The album took four years to record in total. The album has won a number of awards since its release, including the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 51st annual ceremony (2009).

Rockferry is the Grammy and Brit Award winning, debut studio album by Welsh singer Duffy, first released on 3 March 2008 by Mercury Records in collaboration with Universal Records in the US and with Polydor Records in the UK. The album became a worldwide success, becoming the best selling album in the UK in 2008, with . million copies sold.
Those tempted to dismiss Duffy as only the latest pair of false eyelashes to straggle through the British neo-soul parade owe it to themselves to listen to Rockferry. More authentic than Joss Stone if not as honest as Amy Winehouse (both of these are good things), Duffy may be the best choice of all, whether it's because of or despite the fact that she lacks the force of personality that Winehouse has built her career on, from "F k Me Pumps" to "Rehab.

Rockferry" and the follow-up single "Mercy" are the tracks that stand out as something special, the latter's uptempo organ funk providing the album's one truly memorable groove. Elsewhere, she's less persuasive. Ultimately, it's a matter of life and death, of living the little deaths in these songs, and that's what stops Rockferry from delivering on the extravagant claims made for Duffy.
