Recorded during the Rubber Soul sessions, We Can Work It Out was a gold certified single McCartney possibly wrote about girlfriend Jane Asher. It’s an important song in the transition of The Beatles from pop-band singing about relationship tropes to experimental rock band bending the rules of music.
Подумай о том, что я говорю. We can work it out and get it straight, Мы можем всё исправить. Life is very short, and there's no time.
The Beatles recorded this specifically for release as a single at two quick sessions while they were making the Rubber Soul album in October 1965. When it was released as a single backed with "Day Tripper," debate raged over which was the A-side. Most pop groups put B-sides on their singles that were far inferior, but The Beatles often came out with 45s containing two great songs.

It was recorded during the sessions for The Beatles' Rubber Soul album, and released on the same da. The basic track of We Can Work It Out was laid down on 20 October 1965, while the group were recording Rubber Soul. In a four-hour session The Beatles rehearsed and then recorded just two takes of the rhythm track. They then spent nearly five further hours overdubbing instruments, including Lennon's distinctive harmonium in the verses.
While The Beatles were recording their late 1965 masterpiece album Rubber Soul, the usual concern was what song would be left off of the album and released as their next single. Three days into recording the album, the Lennon/McCartney rocker Day Tripper was recorded which, to their ears, must be earmarked as their next million-selling hit song. Apparently Paul’s assurance that they could work it out turned out to be wrong.
