Railroad is an album by American fingerstyle guitarist and composer John Fahey, released in 1983. It was originally released as Railroad 1 by mistake. The Shanachie Records reissue is correctly labeled as Railroad. It was his last principal recording for Takoma Records, the label he founded in 1959. John Fahey had a lifelong attraction to trains and railroads.
It was produced by Terry Knight. Drummer Don Brewer was never happy with the drum sound on the album, due to Knight's insistence of having Brewer cover his drum heads with tea-towels, after seeing Ringo Starr using that technique in the Beatles' film Let It Be (1970). All songs by Mark Farner except where noted. Side one. "Country Road" – 4:22. All You've Got is Money" – 5:16.
In a world full of suspicion, treachery and hunters - we're the synths' only friends. The Railroad is an underground movement with a primary aim of freeing sentient synths from their creators at the Institute.

Grand Funk Railroad became an indelible force in the 1970s, during which time they recorded the 10 greatest Grand Funk Railroad songs of all time. Matt I like the first five albums too much: On Time, Red Album, Closer To Home, Survival and E Pluribus Funk. May 14, 2018 at 1:47 am. Two different bands. One from 1969 to 1972 and one from 1973 to 1976. Think I like the bluesy rock first one best after all these years.
