The Seeds - Love In A Summer Basket (7", Single, Promo). Лейбл:MGM Records по каталогу: K14190. Состояние носителя: Носитель: Very Good Plus (VG+) Состояние обложки: Обложка: Very Good Plus (VG+). Insanely Raw Psych Rock/Acidic Punk B-Side. A side VG+ with a few hairlines but the surfaces between them are nice and clean. A personal favourite album of mine - Before playing this copy 2-3x I'd heard this well into the hundreds of times and I was truly blown away by how fantastic this pressing sounds - there's such deep richness and clarity! Very tidy copy with minimal use since purchase.
An album like the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band would have been unimaginable a couple years earlier. It was also the year in which pop and rock music blossomed into a complete artistic endeavor, with the waves caused by this cultural shift still being felt decades later. There is a huge stack of incredible albums from 1967, more than we've included here; we've gathered a handful of the ones that provided a soundtrack to that key summer. Keep in mind to qualify for our list of the Top Summer of Love Albums, an LP had to be released in the few months leading.
I Let Love In Lyrics: Despair and Deception, Love's ugly little twins, Came a-knocking on my door, I let them in, Darling, you're the punishment for all of my former sins, I let love in, I let love. Despair and Deception, Love's ugly little twins Came a-knocking on my door, I let them in Darling, you're the punishment for all of my former sins. I let love in I let love in. So if you're sitting all alone and hear a-knocking at your door And the air is full of promises, well buddy, you've been warned Far worse to be Love's lover than the lover that Love has scorned. I let love in I let love in Yeah, I let love in I let him in I let love in, yeah I let love in I let him in I let love in.
Love, unsurprisingly, takes center stage of the album. Besides concluding with a second part to "Do You Love Me?," two of its stronger cuts are the (almost) title track "I Let Love In," and "Loverman," an even creepier depiction of lust's throttling power so gripping that Metallica ended up covering it. On the full-on explosive front, "Jangling Jack" sounds like it wants to do nothing but destroy sound systems, strange noises and overmodulations ripping throughout the song. Cave's vicious lyric combines fear and black humor perfectly, while the Seeds' performance redefines "cinematic," a disturbing organ figure leading the subtle but crisp arrangement and Harvey's addition of a sharp bell ratcheting up the feeling of doom and judgment.
