Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) is the seventh studio album by English rock band the Kinks, released in October 1969. Kinks frontman Ray Davies constructed the concept album as the soundtrack to a Granada Television play and developed the storyline with novelist Julian Mitchell; however, the television programme was cancelled and never produced.

Some of the importance placed on the music of the decade can be traced to demographics (the massive baby boomer generation born after World War II reached prime music-listening age) and technology (the consumer electronics industry was creating new listening spaces in automobiles and on television, and advancements in sound reinforcement made large concerts possible). Still, there’s no getting around the fact that the music of the ’60s made a huge impact at the time and never really went away. The entire three-hour epic is conjured fully in the first five notes of Morricone’s theme, that mythical coyote howl. Then comes the anachronistic kang of electric guitar, the strident trumpet, and wooden flute; you can feel the dirt from the graveyard and smell Clint Eastwood’s cigar. Looking for song, bouncy, acoustic pop song on the radio, female singer, chorus is minimalistic, goes "you make my heart beat right", with a fair bit of space between each word (I think these are the wrong lyrics, as googling them doesn't lead me where I want to be). Thanks. Eddie 17 June 2019 Reply. So there is this I recently heard on a very old TV show (Hunter) and one of the songs featured has caught my ears. The lyrics go something like.

was a popular American writer of the early 19th century. At last the sleepy atmosphere of the village was stirred and vigorously: Muff Potter was being tried for the alleged murder of Dr. Robinson. It became the absorbing topic of the village talk immediately. Tom knew that he was not suspected of knowing anything about the murder, but every reference to it sent a 2 shudder to his heart. His dreams at night were full of horrors. In the daytime he was drawn to the courtroom by an almost irresistible impulse to go in, but he forced himself to stay out.
