Coming Back to Life (оригинал Pink Floyd). Возвращение к жизни (перевод Hokum the Fox из Читы). Where were you when I was burned and broken. For killing the past and coming back to life. Для того, чтобы убить прошлое и вернуться к жизни. I took a heavenly ride through our silence.
Possibly the finest moment on The Division Bell, Coming Back To The Life is about as personal a piece as Gilmour has ever turned out. It possibly refers to the personal consequences of Floyd’s late Eighties Momentary Lapse Or Reason tour, and his renewed joie de vivre from his relationship with Polly Samson. Interestingly, the piece features not one or two, but three guitar solos from Gilmour. Each solo grows in intensity. The final solo is as close to unadulterated joy that has ever been recorded on a Floyd album. It is an odd piece for Floyd, in that its outlook is unabashedly positive. The tones that Gilmour achieves seem to be intentionally different from the languid trebly wails he is known for, while remaining classic Gilmour. Coming Back to Life" Track Info. Coming Back To Life". Where were you when I was burned and broken While the days slipped by from my window watching And where were you when I was hurt and I was helpless Because the things you say and the things you do surround me. While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words Dying to believe in what you heard I was staring straight into the shining sun. Lost in thought and lost in time While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted. Outside the rain fell dark and slow While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime. This song has been performed by David Gilmour at every one of his shows from 1994 to 2016, including "Division Bell Tour" (1994), semi-acoustic shows in 2001 and 2002, "On an Island Tour" (2006), "Rattle That Lock Tour" (2015-2016). P. Pink Floyd Lyrics. album: "The Division Bell" (1994).
