Anesthetic is the first solo album by American guitarist Mark Morton, released on March 1, 2019 via Spinefarm.
Mark P Morton (born November 25, 1972) is the lead guitarist of the American heavy metal band Lamb of God. Morton grew up near Williamsburg, Virginia. His first band was Axis, which was composed of other local youth, one being Ryan Lake of Alabama Thunderpussy fame. Morton played rhythm guitar. The band became a popular local act winning the local battle of the bands competition, known as Stockwood, in 1988.
A 2019 album from Lamb of God may still be a mystery, but guitarist Mark Morton will absolutely have a solo album out next year. Morton’s debut solo record, Anesthetic, will feature plenty of guests, including Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe and Arch Enemy singer Alissa White-Gluz. Morton’s first single, The Truth Is Dead, premiered on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal and can be heard on a regular rotation. The track features both Blythe and White-Gluz pairing up as a vicious vocal duo. Hey y’all I’ve been quietly working on a solo album for the last couple of years and I am stoked to annou. 4. "The Never" (feat. Chuck Billy + Jake Oni). 5. "Save Defiance" (feat.

Morton S. "Mort" Garson (20 July 1924 – 4 January 2008) was a Canadian-born composer, arranger, songwriter, and pioneer of electronic music. He also co-wrote several hit songs, including "Our Day Will Come", a hit for Ruby and the Romantics.
Morton, with songs like Remember (Walking in the Sand) and Leader of the Pack, helped propel the Shangri-Las, a 1960s girl group from Queens, to stardom. Look out! the Shangri-Las’ lead singer, Mary Weiss, cries over and over, but it is too late. Mr. Morton also wrote Give Him a Great Big Kiss and I Can Never Go Home Anymore, which became hits for the Shangri-Las in 1965. But in the years that followed, he largely abandoned his songwriting career, partly because he cared little for the music business and partly, he later said in interviews, because of the rigors of battling alcoholism. The nickname Shadow was bestowed on him by a Brill Building colleague to describe his habitually evanescent presence.

Cage drew inspiration from the younger man’s work, and encouraged Feldman to develop his entirely intuitive approach to composition, working from sound to sound instead of within a predetermined structural framework. Along with Christian Wolff, Earle Brown and the pianist David Tudor, they formed a so-called New York School, closely associated with the contemporary and similarly named group of Abstract Expressionist painters that included Philip Guston, Franz Kline, Jackson Pollock, Robert Rauschenberg and Mark Rothko.
The album, Anesthetic, arrives on March 1st, and features a who's who of rock and metal musicians as contributors. This album wasn’t a concerted effort to start something outside Lamb of God, Morton explained in a press release. Music is always in my head, and until I write and record it, it’s stuck there. But once I record it, it’s out. It’s a catharsis, more for my own sanity. Earlier this fall, Morton confirmed that the track would eventually see the light of day. Among the other guest vocalists on the album are Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix, Testament’s Chuck Billy, Buckcherry’s Josh. Chuck Billy + Jake Oni) 05. Save Defiance (feat.
